Railcar Couplers: Fixed Alignment

ACS Fixed Alignment Railcar Couplers equip your wheel loader with standard EE60C RR knuckles with 26 degrees of swivel. Ideal for environments where the wheel loader works on straight tracks, travels short distances and has room to maneuver..

Optional hydraulic pin lift available. Wheel loader requires third function hydraulics to actuate pin lift with this option.

Available in either pin-on or coupler-equipped configuration. Coupler-equipped options include ACS Series 1000, ACS Pro Series 2000 and JRB compatible.

Available in both Rear and Front mount.

Tech Specs

Front Mount, Fixed Alignment

Railcar Coupler is in a fixed position. Operator must maneuver the loader to compensate for any misalignment between the loader and the railcar. Use Case: Environments where the wheel loader works on straight tracks, can maneuver into a square alignment with the railcar and travels short distances.

Rear Mount, Fixed Alignment

Made with a flat back with no provisions supplied for mounting the coupler to the rear of the loader. The dealer needs to fabricate their own mounting method for the Railcar Coupler. ACS encourages the installer to consult the OEM for installation recommendations. Use Case: Loader has an attachment permanently pinned to the loader arms and / or railcar loads are too great and could damage the loader boom arms. Operator Note: View of the railcar is blocked by the rear of the loader.

    • Other Coupling Systems

ACS manufactures couplers that are fully compatible with all popular coupler systems:

  • Front Mount Configuration

Attaches to the loader boom arms by Pin-On or Coupler equipped configuration. Provides best possible operator visibility of the Railcar Coupler to quickly align and couple the railcar. Use Case: Railcar coupler is used daily and best visibility is desired. Railcar Coupler is coupler-equipped for efficient attachment changes. Operator Note: Operator should avoid overloading or side loading the boom arms. Doing so can cause damage to the loader.
  • Hydraulic Pin Lift

Allows the operator to unlock the rail car from the loader without leaving the cab. The loader must have third-function hydraulics to power the Pin Lift. Adds an additional 70lbs to coupler weight.
  • Rear Mount Configuration

Order your coupler to be configured with a flat back so you can custom-install it the way you want on site. With this option, no provisions are supplied for mounting the coupler to the rear of the loader. ACS encourages the installer to consult the OEM for installation recommendations. Use Case: Loader has an attachment permanently pinned to the loader arms and / or railcar loads are too great and could damage the loader boom arms. Operator Note: When the coupler is mounted on the rear of the loader, view of the railcar is blocked by loader.
  • Self-Centering

Allows Railcar Coupler to self-adjust horizontally to center the Railcar Coupler to the railcar when in motion. Available in 42” and 82” horizontal adjustment track widths, and in both front and rear mount packages. Use Case: Recommended when there are curves in the tracks and when moving cars over 100 feet. Also used when the Wheel Loader tire spacing requires the loader to straddle the tracks off center. Recommendations: ACS recommends loaders sized 30-50 using the front-mounted railcar coupler to use the 42” track width to minimize side loading the loader boom arms. ACS recommends 82” wide track for all rear mounted Railcar Couplers and for loaders sized 60 and up using the front-mounted Railcar Coupler.
